Earth Hour – Donation of $2000 to World Wildlife Fund Canada

On March 25th, Burnbrae Farms celebrated Earth Hour in partnership with Bullfrog Power in a big way! Earth Hour, a worldwide movement organized by the World Wildlife Fund invites people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour. Burnbrae Farms encouraged employees to participate in the initiative, and those did received an led lightbulb. To top it off, Burnbrae Farms proudly donated $2000 to WWF Canada to ensure their important work continues.

Turning Over a New Leaf; a New Eco-Friendly Collaboration at Burnbrae Farms

What is biomethanisation? Learn more about a collaborative effort between our “Green-Team” and employees at Burnbrae Farms’ Upton (Quebec) who partnered with the City of St-Hyacinthe. Together they came up with an eco-friendly solution to address 10,000 tonnes of organic matter and developed a plan to transform it into biogas, used to heat the city’s municipal buildings. Truly the perfect example of a ‘win-win’ situation!
